When I think of my nana's house at Lunar New Year, one of the first things that pop into my mind are my nana's kumquat trees. Nana always had beautiful potted kumquat trees on either side of her double front doors. Kumquat trees are a New Year tradition, with the more kumquats on the tree thought to bring more luck to the house.
I designed a kumquat tree for the front of the lucky packet. My nana always had two kumquat trees on either side of her front door. Kumquat trees are a New year tradition, with the more kumquats on the tree thought to bring more luck to the house.
These little kumquat trees feature green glitter leaves, metallic orange kumquats individually placed on the tree, and a pearlised blue pot - just like my nana's blue pots!
The earrings measure 4cm in height and 2.7cm in width. The earrings are finished with hypoallergenic steel studs and butterfly backs. These earrings are super light!
Representation is incredibly important at Ana ma Petit Tresor. This collection for Lunar New Year has been carefully designed with heartfelt thought. I designed this to honour my cultural heritage and share my heritage with pride and love. I truly hope you enjoy these pieces with this in mind. Diversity is strength in our community.
