Do you know what gatchapon are?
Gatchapon are small toys sold in capsule machines, which originate in Japan. It's called gatchapon because of the 'gatcha gatcha' sound when you turn the handle, and the 'pon' is the sound made when the toy capsule falls down out of the machine.
I have loved little toys and trinkets from Japan since I was a small child, and my daughter Ana has become obsessed with gatchapon too!
Here is Macaron Girl! She is obsessed with sweets and always looks for the prettiest cake when going to cafes. She usually chooses strawberry shortcakes, but really, her favourites are macarons. Only Macaron Girl can't quite choose her favourite flavour!
The Macaron Girl dangles are layered and fitted like a puzzle and secured with industrial strength adhesive. Macaron Girl features mauve hair and shiny blue bows, and her hat is a white macaron with pink filling and sprinkles. Her aqua eyes look right at you and she smiles.
Each piece has been drawn by hand and converted into pieces of wearable art.
The earring measures 5.5cm in height. It is finished with US made hypoallergenic stainless steel stud posts and comfort backs.
Please note that while no pets are permitted in the sewing studio, there is a pet present in the house.
