I wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia, and their connections to land, sea and community. I pay my respects to all Traditional Owners of the past, communities of today and those leaders of the future. In particular I pay my respects to both the Jagera people and the Turrbul people and their Elders, past, present and emerging.
Ryhia Dank - The Artist I am privileged to announce that I have been working with Ryhia Dank of Nardurna to create my next collaboration - the Women Collection. Ryhia is a contemporary Aboriginal artist and she is Gudanji/Wakaja. She grew up in a remote community in the Northern Territory. She also has English/Irish and Spanish/Austrian heritage from her father. Ryhia's painting is storywork. Gudanji/Wakaja people told stories through pattern and design.
Her storying is Nardurna which means woman in her language. For Gudanji, their big story is about three women who came from the ocean near Ngukurr in the Gulf of Carpentaria. They travelled a long way and then created their place, the hills and fresh water Country.
Ryhia is linked to that story, with her granny saying “Ngurruwani Gudanji-marndi maga guda gurijba iligirra gamamjani.” (Gudanji people are from the fresh water and hill country).
WOMEN - The Story The exclusive artwork in this range is called WOMEN“. 'The orange rings symbolise a camp with women (of different ages and roles) and children surrounded.
The blue circles symbolise waterholes and the swirl going between is the river where they fish, catch turtles and gather water from.
Small rings of different colours which are surrounding the camp are the many plants used in their everyday living.
The green palms are cycads which in my family, many generations before me, the women have planted.’
Support - Indigenous Literacy Foundation 20% of the proceeds from all tops sold will be donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF). ILF is dedicated to lifting literacy levels in remote Indigenous communities, so all children across Australia have the same choices and opportunities. Their programs focus on ensuring access to quality resources including books in home languages, publishing community stories, and empowering families to share reading and lead their own literacy future.

This relaxed box fit style is ideal for dressing up a casual outfit or to wear to work. A relaxed fit assures comfort, and just do a French tuck into jeans to look trendy without effort (as Tan from Queer Eye would say)!
