Do you know what gatchapon are?
Gatchapon are small toys sold in capsule machines, which originate in Japan. It's called gatchapon because of the 'gatcha gatcha' sound when you turn the handle, and the 'pon' is the sound made when the toy capsule falls down out of the machine.
I have loved little toys and trinkets from Japan since I was a small child, and my daughter Ana has become obsessed with gatchapon too!
We have the Gatchapon! earrings... and now we have the Gatchapon! brooch! It features the same moving teeny gatchapon balls shaking inside. You will also get a lucky rare star capsule, which (in our imaginations) holds a super rare toy!
Each piece has been drawn by hand and converted into pieces of wearable art.
The brooch measures 7.5cm in height. It is finished with a magnetic brooch - so no holes in your clothes!
Please note that while no pets are permitted in the sewing studio, there is a pet present in the house.
